Pivot Preserves
Pivot Preserves is a program that helps support workforce development, job placement and retention within Pivot Preserves, and longer-term employment and retention with external companies.
To accelerate the program and serve more participants, Pivot entered into a Pay for Success contract with Oklahoma Impact Investing Collaborative and the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS). Participants receive on-the-job training and can enroll in one of three training programs that allow them to enhance their professional skills. After six months at Pivot Preserves, the participants will receive support transition using Individual Placement and Support (IPS) to external employment with local companies. IPS is an internationally recognized evidence-based program with successful outcomes for individuals experiencing barriers to employment.
Pivot is an Oklahoma City-based nonprofit operating on a 12.5-acre campus that provides a wide variety of services to youth ages 12 to 25 who are experiencing homelessness or unstable home environments. These services include counseling, educational and vocational services, and prevention, intervention, and diversion services.
